Practice Management
We have a team of managers who work closely together to look after the needs of the patients, staff and the efficient running of the Practice.
Karren Housley
Practice Manager
Karren started with us in June 2024 and is responsible for the overall running of the Practice.
Eve May
Operations Manager
Eve assists the Practice Manager in the overall running of the Practice and manages the Admin Support Teams and started with us in June 2025.
Sue Miller
Practice Nurse Manager & Advanced Nurse Practitioner. Sue is also our Lead Respiratory Specialist.

Reception Manager
Arthur manages the Reception team.

Jemma Black
Jemma is an Advanced Nurse Practitioners who works in the Triage and Dressing clinics. She is also a Specialist Dermatology Nurse.
Kirsty Crompton
Kirsty is our Lead Diabetic Nurse Specialist and Prescriber. She also works in the Child Immunisation, Travel, Dressing and Wound clinics.

Emily is our Child Immunisation Lead Nurse who also works in Female Health, Dressing and Treatment Room clinics.

Debbie is our Urgent Care Senior Healthcare Assistant who runs our Spirometry clinics and works in Healthcare Assistant, Blood, INR, Stop Smoking, Combined Care Review and Long Term Condition clinics.
Reception
Reception is normally your first point of contact with the practice. We have a large team of full and part-time reception staff, all of whom are trained to provide you with a friendly and efficient service. They will assist you to make an appointment, deal with requests for repeat prescriptions and give you information about all our other services. Please speak to them if you have a query and they will do their best to help you.
Administration
We have a team of managers who work closely together to look after the needs of the patients, staff and the efficient running of the Practice.
Business Support Lead
Manages workflows and resources, supports practice management and drives improvements to enhance service delivery, and handles patient complaints to ensure timely and appropriate resolution.
GP Admin
Manage medical records, registrations, changes of address, and summarising of medical records.
HR & Finance Co-ordinator
Oversees all HR and Finance functions to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
IT Co-ordinator
Maintains all our IT systems and supports our patients with SystmOnline/NHSapp or Airmid queries.
Medical Secretaries
Oversee processing referrals, preparing clinical correspondence, and ensuring effective communication between patients, clinicians, and external healthcare providers.
Medicines Co-ordinators
Manage and process patient prescription requests, liaise with healthcare professionals and pharmacies, and maintain accurate medication records.
Community Nurses
District Nurses, or Community Nurses, are not based at Rowden Surgery, but at Chippenham Community Hospital. The Doctors may refer patients needing nursing at home to ‘Access to Care’, who will then assess the patient and organise care by the Community Team.
