Hypertension

Hypertension (High Blood Pressure) is a condition that causes your blood pressure to always be too high. This means your heart is constantly working harder than it should need to to pump blood around your body.

Hypertension causes your arteries to narrow and lose their stretchiness, this increases your risk of a heart attack or stroke.

Untreated high blood pressure can also lead to complications such as:

  • Kidney/Heart failure
  • Vision problems
  • Vascular dementia
