The appointments telephone number is available from 8:15am to 5:30pm on 01249 444808 (there are two lines; the calls are answered in order – please hold on - you will be answered as quickly as possible).
This number can be busy in surgery hours and you will usually find it easier to get through between 11.00-13.00 and 15.30-16:30.
Appointments, booked in advance, account for three-quarters of the surgery time. If, however, you require an urgent appointment on the day, your name and contact number will be taken by the receptionist and our trained staff will contact you in order to provide either telephone advice or to allocate an appropriate appointment with the duty nurse, your own doctor or the duty doctor.
As the duty doctor changes every day on a rota basis, we cannot always give you the choice of male or female doctors. However, we are always happy to provide a chaparone when requested.
Please be aware that Blood tests should only be booked if requested by a GP, Nurse or Hospital clinician.
Your SystmOnline login can also be used for booking and cancelling appointments online.

The Partners choose to run a personal list service, where you see your own doctor whenever possible, as we believe this allows for greater continuity of medical care. If you need to see a doctor when your own doctor is on study leave or on holiday, you will be able to make an appointment with one of our salaried doctors. Your own doctor will be informed of any medical problems which need following up. This also applies to serious medical problems arising outside surgery hours, when the local on-call co-operative, NHS 111, covers the whole practice.
